Staying Busy
Today I worked, made phone calls, looked for new music, sent and received important emails, sent faxes, researched lawyers, did multiple loads of laundry, played taxi driver for Starr, potted plants….and downloaded Firefox 3.
Starr has a part-time job this summer. She works for a local Aveda Salon and Spa, she is a Guest Services Specialist (cashier) or somesuch. She rings up clients, makes appointments, cleans and stocks product, and offers “reverse osmosis water” or “comforting tea”. She is enjoying it, and loves the paychecks!!
I love love freaking love the way she smells when she gets home. Yum. Not at all like I used to smell like after my shifts at McDonalds! Yuck.
She bought me a bottle of Blue Oil the other day. Sweetheart understands me, my headaches and the stress we are under and thought it would help. I love the way it smells. Here is what it says about Blue Oil on the Aveda website:
Benefits:Our stress-relieving blue oil helps dissolve tension and raise energy levels with the balancing aromas of refreshing peppermint and soothing blue camomile. When gently touched to skin, its special rollerball applicator releases the perfect amount of concentrate for on-the-spot, cooling acupressure therapy.
- Calms body and mind
- Conditions and relaxes scalp
- Eases tired muscles
- Excellent for self-massage
- Slips into pocket
Ritual:Breathe in the aroma deeply. Exhale completely. Apply to area between index finger and thumb to create feelings of well-being.
I feel calmer just reading it.
