Starr’s Christmas Gift 2007

Posted by on July 3, 2008 in Life, Starr | 0 comments

I started a stained glass panel, using leftover glass and materials last December to give Starr for Christmas. It was the ONLY thing that I was going to give her. It is July and I still haven’t finished it. So I officially never gave her a real gift. Although, I did put together a little “Santa” stocking with some candy and a book. She was sweet and appreciative.

This is the panel as of yesterday morning. All the glass has been cut, but I stalled at the assembly stage. Fitting the pieces together with the lead can get tedious and frustrating…and I am an impatient woman.

I am using a pattern that I designed for my folks a couple of years ago. Here is what one of their panels looked like. Starr’s will be made of several types of clear glass, and a touch of dusty purple around the edge.

It is my goal to finish this panel. Soon. I cleaned out the craft/storage room yesterday to clear my workspace and plan to post my progress here as incentive to get moving.
