Moody Monday

Grumpy.

Frustrated.

Irritable.

In pain.

Amazed.

Amazed at the shear volume of junk and leaves that collected in my little perennial area/rock garden (is there a special name for that?) over the winter. After an hour or so of trying to rake and then stopping to pull up the vines that are overtaking the garden, the vines that are making an excellent trap for leaves, party napkins, fast food containers and someones fake floral arrangement, in addition to making raking darn near impossible, I quit for the day. Two large bags of leaves and debris and the area looks pretty much exactly the way it did when I started. Ugh. I really wish that I enjoyed gardening and had a vision and talent for planting new plants. I like pretty. Unfortunately, I just don’t have the patience or energy for it.

  1. Just a little bit at a time….and when the weather gets nice, you’ll enjoying being outside in it more. And maybe you could take along your iPod. Rumor has it that you like music.

  2. Music? I don’t know what you are talking about!!

I have actually done more work on this little corner and things are beginning to look normal…if not good. Sunshine mixed with Spring rains (and my efforts removing this winters strange mega leaf blanket!) have done wonders for my little flower garden. It is not wonderful, but it is visibly growing.
