Hail! Again.

Thankfully the repeated hailstorms haven’t done much damage to buildings or cars, but I think they’ve done a number on local gardens and plant life. This is my deck earlier today, it has looked just like this several times in the past couple of weeks. And yes, my rose bush looks like it’s growing out of the deck, because some of it literally is! I freely admit utter laziness when it comes to outdoor projects!

The rains have helped my little neglected flower garden. Apparently plants respond positively to receiving water!! Who knew?!

I just noticed this white flower, I’ve never seen it before (I’ve lived here 8 years!). It is about two inches in diameter and a little hail battered. Is it a weed? It’s obvious that I know nothing about plants!! Although, I can see that the weeds that I do recognize are enjoying the water too! I need to get back out there and do some more cleaning up.

We’ve had weird weather her in CA also. For most of June it has been in the low 70′s and overcast all day. I’ll take it though because I know that heat is coming!!

Thanks Randi! I stink at flower shots, but I wanted to share! They have brightened my yard and time spend doing the dishes as they are right outside the kitchen window! Yay.

JLO: It has been weird! All over! Global warming I say.

  4. wow – that’s a lot of hail!!

We had hail one day this week, first we had seen it in years! Not that much though, but it was “fun”, the dog was not amused when she ran out and got pellted with a couple!

    The flowers are beautiful.
