Recovery

It’s going to take a long time, as I don’t know yet exactly what I’ve lost. I have tons of code and tracking thingamajigs to install, but from where? I have forgotten. Ugh. And my pictures…all of them, gone. I will work on them, if I can, a little at a time…I hope.

What happened? Me. I made a critical error and then another. The blog was gone. I did the backup thing, which is funny (funny ha ha, in the laughing hysterically in an uncontrollable, not so funny kind of way) because…when I finally resorted to starting over from scratch I tried to import my backup, but found that it exceeded the size allowed. Oh really? Nice. I backed up! There was no warning that I wouldn’t actually be able to USE my precious backup!! Grrr.

I Googled and Googled, spending (wasting!) hours and hours trying this and that. Finally, lucking into the right fix, I was able override that particular problem. The blog is imported, sans images. I can live with that.

So. What are my plans for the weekend? Sitting right here…fixing things.

Awesome.

Remind me not to touch the pretty buttons.

  3. Thus far I have avoided anything having to do with code. I have a sneaking suspicion I might just know enough to be dangerous.

Good luck with getting it all done.
