Out of Town!
Just for the weekend! I might try a mobile post if I have service…and if I figure out how to do it!
I am headed up to the cabin with friends.
A weekend of friends, food, sharing and alcohol. This will be the second year that I have participated in this event and I feel like I am so much closer to these women than I was last year, I hope to continue to grow those friendships. They mean so much to me.
I have shopped for groceries, stopped at the liquor store and made lists. I still have a lot to do before we leave town tomorrow this afternoon. Food to cook, bags to pack, clothes to wash. I should be sleeping! I am equally dreading the trip and looking forward to it. Things are so messed up around here, I haven’t been in the best of moods, I feel really guilty leaving, but I also need the break.
Desperately.
Sunny’s birthday is this weekend. I’ve already been thinking about it. Feeling it. I am sure that I will bring it with me. Missing her and grieving for her family.
There will be a fundraiser in Sunny’s memory while I am gone that Starr and Skye are planning on attending. I hope that they are able to make it. Last year Starr wanted to go, but emotions ruled the day. I won’t be here with her this year and it’s tearing me up.
She is so strong, but none of us are invincible. She hasn’t asked me to stay home. She knows how important it is for me to unplug…she has been begging me to do just that for months…I still feel torn.

i just spent the last hour reading everything about sunny on your blog. my heart breaks and aches for you, sunny’s family and starr. and of course, i long for the details.. cause i’m a sick fuck like that.
