Beautiful

I am loving the weather this week, it’s been cool enough to turn off the air conditioner and open the windows.

I love fresh air.

Starr spent the last few nights here at home because her roommate has the stomach flu. Poor thing, but Starr didn’t want to join her in her misery (it’s recruitment week, she doesn’t have time to get sick!), so she came home. As I dropped her off this morning on campus, she said “see that kid with the backpack?” Um, yeah, and no! They all have backpacks and I am busy trying not to run any of them over. Bikers, walkers, skateboarders…all of them ignoring the rules of the road because they are college students and they can do what they want.

“I just love those backpacks that you strap yourself into,” she continued.  “They make me happy. When we (the Greeks) helped the freshmen move into their dorms people started giving me all the backpacks because I loved them so much. When I would show up in the dorm room all strapped in to their backpacks, the freshmen would look at me like I was weird. What they didn’t understand is just how cool I really am!!”

I love that she isn’t afraid to look silly and ridiculous sometimes because having fun is so much fun.
