Snow Day Pancakes

Starr loves her traditions! They have always been very important to her. One of them is eating/making pancakes on snow days.

It’s a snow day today. We have had 4 to 5 inches of snow so far and they are predicting 8 to16 more before this storm ends. I sit inside and watch. Thankful that I don’t have any outside errands to do.

Starr is at her apartment today, or possibly at the sorority house which is really close, walking in the snow would be worth it for the company! I am home alone.

So, do I make pancakes with out her? Mmm, I just might!

I don’t have a view, but here’s a picture I took this morning of the snow on the deck:

Update: Another picture taken near noon–still snowing:

Update again: Still snowing, about 4:30pm:

Last Update of the Day: 10:00pm, I measured 16 inches on the deck, still snowing:

  2. SNOW?! Do not comprehend…

I’ve lived in California my whole life. Only been to the snow a couple of times. I’m still trying to hang onto our last few days of warm weather.

    Love your snow pictures!

I grew up in Minnesota, so I KNOW snow…this is why I moved to Arizona in my 20′s. Here in Colorado, we get snow, but not the bitter cold I was so desperate to leave in MN.

  3. Snow day pancakes sound like a great tradition.

But snow? Already? This winter is off to an early start, huh?

LOL. You guys are just spoiled! I tease! I love Colorado (I’ve lived in MN, TN, NV and AZ–and loved them all), but I didn’t choose it for the snow/Winter! I tolerate the snow for everything else!

The snow can be fun, but it’s not my favorite thing. A good snow day or two, though, are like gold. It’s a little like the pressures of life are lifted for a moment. No expectations.

I am a little jealous! Great pictures and progression of the snow. Maybe we’ll get a little in March again this year!

It’s really beautiful! I’m not ready though! That’s almost identical to what I see when it snows and I look out my back sliding doors.
