Speaking of Minnesota

I stood outside this sunny, but cold, morning and took a deep breath. *sigh* I could smell it and feel it. I do miss Minnesota. The people, the towns, the green hills, all those lakes and trees.

I miss it a lot.

I’ve posted this video before, but I really do love it. Driving on snow packed streets these past few days reminded me of it. It is a fan video for Elliott Smith’s “Pitseleh” filmed in Minnesota.

  1. I love Elliott Smith, but I always feel sad when I listen to his music.

    • Oh, we agree. So sad in many ways!

  2. I would love to visit Minnesota again, and except for the awfully long and cold winters, I think it would be a lovely place to live! I visited Minneapolis once, in January, on business, for two weeks… barely left the Hilton, but when we did get a chance to get out of the city, it was beautiful! Oh, and did I mention they had a “heat wave” just in time for the Hilton to be throwing a Gala complete with horse and carriage, and ice skating rink ice sculptures outside… I was just looking at those pics tonight!

    • Sounds lovely! I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Minnesota!!
