Run Away
Last night, Starr, Skye, Sookie and C (the Friends Vacation crew) went to the movies. After buying their tickets, Skye and Sookie took off to the restroom leaving C and Starr together. In a moment C decided that he needed to use the restroom too but loudly expressed “concern” about leaving Starr all alone.
Just then a woman walking by with her significant other leaned towards Starr and purposefully said “Run away!”
Starr was actually shaken by this. She is wondering just what was meant and what she is supposed to learn from the moment and spent quite a bit of time late last night journaling the incident and pondering her feelings about it.
Has anyone ever said something like that to you? A bit of random oddness from strangers?
Have you ever said something unexpected to a stranger??

Aww, that was bad.
Michelle´s last blog ..Insomnia is a kind of torture.
Yeah. I just don’t get it.
My experience with strangers is that they are strange. I’m sure it was harmless, but still odd.
Kimberly´s last blog ..Is Winter Over Already?
“Strangers are strange” —words to remember!!
That was odd, makes you wonder. So what movie did they see?
They went to see “Nine”, I think it was a general thumbs-up from the group.
eh?!?!
am i not getting something… im the total curious person would have flagged the woman down and been all “whaaaa-aaaat?” and poor hubby woulda been totally red in the face!!!
Randi´s last blog ..So Glammed Up
LOL!! Starr was too shocked to say anything.
Unfortunately, the woman revealed far more about herself than the guy she was saving Starr from. She interpreted his concern for her with control. What has she been through to become so embittered? Or what is her agenda that man-bashing right there and then seemed right?
And hello back! Missed you and all that terrific music. Gotta come back when I can see your post on “A Year of Music.” I KNOW I’m gonna love that!
Robynn’s Ravings´s last blog ..The Bottom Line
What she didn’t know and I didn’t explain is that C is Sookie’s boyfriend. I asked Starr if she thought that the woman was projecting her own situation on her and she didn’t feel that was the case.
I guess that we will never know her motivation or intention.
i once was trying on a pair of camoflauge (sp) coveralls, just as i zipped them to the top a gentleman was walking behind me. i asked, “can you see me?” i got no response, so i guess he couldn’t…
