My Neighbor Called
I know that I’ve mentioned it, but I try not to make my daily pain issues a focus of this blog. I live with a headache all day every day and have for many many years. Plus I have joint and muscle pain from Fibromyalgia.
I have also mentioned that Starr and I live in a small neighborhood of senior citizens. Several of them balked at our presence when we moved in nearly nine years ago. Despite our rocky start, I quickly become close to several of them and am friendly with most of the rest.
The other day one of my neighbors called. She often calls just to chat, or sometimes she needs help with something. I am happy to help. This time she wanted to share with me her idea. She was reading Time magazine when she ran across an article called Postcard From Denver about medical marijuana dispensaries popping up all over Denver. Even though she’s never tried it, she thought that I might find some (much needed) relief with marijuana.
She went on to describe the benefits of some of the different varieties described in the article and was positive that there would be one that would be a good fit for me! She suggested that I find someone to give me a prescription and apply for a state issued medical marijuana card right away!
I will have to look into that.

my mother has Fibromyalgia- so though i have no idea of the pain myself, i’ve seen her suffer and i’m sorry you have to go through that…
now.. on to the other.. marijuana doesn’t bother me one way or another.. but i started laughing so hard when i read that.. sorry, can’t help it!!! i could just imagine a little old lady calling you up to tell you to smoke some pot!!!! sorry.. i’m being totally immature here.. weird day for me.. lol!!!

I love the names of those “flavors”! I was also laughing that an older neighbor called you recommending this for you.
You know you don’t have to go to Denver, right? These stores are popping up all over the place and – I’ve heard (I don’t get out much, so I haven’t seen) – that there are a few places right here in town. 
You’ve got some hip senior citizens living around you!

man… my elderly neighbor only bitches about random cats on her frontlawn. It seems your neighborhood is waaay more intense and vastly more interesting than mine will ever be! WELL DONE POT INDUCING OLD MA’AM!
About finding relief in smoking… Yes. I highly recommend it as a weekend or freetime activy, just be careful…not everybody is that open-minded. Happy blazings!
