Snow in May

This is what we woke up to today!

It will melt fast, but this wet heavy snow has already taken many tree branches around town this morning.

I really thought we were done with snow for the year. I am so ready to be done with snow for the year!!

We have a flowering plum right in front of my porch – it’s been my beautiful, pink view these past few weeks. Sadly, last night’s snow broke one of the main branches; I didn’t realize so little snow could break such a thick branch. :(

Oh, Barb, that is a bummer! I hope that the tree recovers, though I think this snow has ruined the beautiful pink show we’ve been enjoying this spring.

I shook as much snow off of mine as soon as I took the picture, around the other side the branches were touching the ground with the weight of the snow.
