Ugh!
I was sitting at the vet’s office with Zeta yesterday, when I happened to spy this poster:
So, at year 7 the pets begin to develop diseases common to their senior human counterparts. Okay.
Next to that was the chart, comparing cat years to human years (the dog chart was similar, but a little more complicated involving weight):
Um. Excuse me?!?!
My “senior years” started two years ago?!! Someone should have said something!!
Seriously.
Oh, and Zeta is officially all boy and seems to be in good health. Now it’s a matter of getting the cats to get along. That would make me very happy!!

Whoa! I am not happy about that being termed senior either!

Uh oh! I didn’t know I just started my senior years a few months ago! Wish I could see the bottom of the chart. I had cats that lived to be 14 and 17. I guess that would be 72 and 96? Good luck with new kitty. Is he going to be named Zeta? He is gorgeous, or excuse me he’s handsome!
I feel like a Spring Chicken being only 6 and a half years old. I think I’ll go out dancing tonight. As long as I’m back by 9PM to watch Matlock.
Your Friend, m.
