Wednesday: The New Monday

Okay, only this one time!! Hopefully. Being sick is no fun.

I am thinking that today might just be a good day to (try again to) quit those evil and addictive Diet Cokes, as I have been caffeine free and aspartame free for three days already. Yeah! Fresh start?!?

While I have been curled up in a ball, Starr has been hanging out here doing her homework. The distractions at the sorority house have been just too distracting. I appreciate her presence, and I understand and support her desire to pass her classes, but I wish she would pick up a bit. Do a dish? Start a load of laundry? Or just not make a mess?? Oh well.

Before I dive into the catching up and cleaning up today, I am going to go vote. I love early voting.

Have you voted?

    • I am not anti-caffeine, I’m just trying to quit Diet Coke. My problem is I can’t stand coffee.

What to do?? I’ve been allowing one glass of sweet tea each day so far. We will see how it goes!!

  2. I could never quit caffeine. Never. You’re a brave woman.

I did vote, although I left a few of them blank. Does that make me a lousy American? Oh well. :-)

    • Yay for voting!! I don’t know about the leaving them blank thing, it never occurred to me…I am still a rule (or assumed rule) follower at heart. I need to shake that off!!

  3. I wish I could give up that addiction too!

    • I’ve tried quitting before and I KNOW that they just aren’t good for me, but I keep coming back to them. I guess as far as addictions go, Diet Coke isn’t the worst that we could have. Right??

  4. How’s quitting caffeine going? I always get a gnarly headache!

    • I started drinking some tea, but then again I always have a stupid headache anyway. It’s been a week and I’m still off the Diet Cokes.

  5. I haven’t voted yet, and this year the whole thing seems like such a drag, at least here in California. Yuck. But I will do my duty.

I drink one Diet Coke per day. Those I could probably quit. But coffee? Nope. Don’t think so.

Why does Diet Coke have to be so bad?

    • I never did learn to like coffee. I used to like the smell, but I don’t anymore. I wish I knew why.
