Pillow Flipping

Posted by on January 5, 2011 in Life, Starr | 7 comments

“I never knew that flipping your pillow during the night to get the ‘fresh’ side was something that people did.” Starr explained to me the other day.

Her friend told her about the practice while they were in Vegas for the weekend.

“I’d never flipped my pillow over before. It felt really good when I did!”

Wow. All this time!?

Was pillow flipping a skill that I was supposed to teach her? Did I fail her? Laughing, I was wondering what else I might have missed. The little things that have slipped through the cracks. Where is the parenting master list??

  2. I only flip when the pillow feels really hot to me or if I’ve drooled on it. LOL

  3. I’ll have to ask my kids if they do it–I’ve never taught them.

I no longer pillow flip because I have a Tempurpedic pillow and there’s a right and wrong side.

  5. Hmmm, I never really thought about it before. That is funny that she “learned” it from a friend.
I still think you are a pretty good mom. :)

  7. if it makes you feel better, i don’t flip mine :) Well, it’s one of those foamy contor pillows so flipping is not possible. But, i’ll have to make sure i teach my kids about the pillow flip, thanks!
