mp3: “The Darkest Side” – The Middle East
“…and it’s the darkest side of my heart that dies when you come to me…”
It took a couple listens for this song to grow on me. It’s funny, most of the songs I run into are “nexted” within seconds. I don’t give them another chance, but some, including several that I’ve posted here in the past catch me just enough to garner another listen or two. I don’t know what the formula is, but I am often (but not always!!) quite glad that I made that choice. The Recordings of The Middle East The Middle East-MySpace
I found this video posted by Reno Rambler this morning. First off, I love this song. Secondly, wow.
From the video description: Filmed over the period of a few months in and around Edinburgh by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There’s some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.
I have posted Band of Horses before, but this seems like a good time to revisit them.
Starr’s tattoo was well received by her friends, coworkers and even her dad. She is still happy with it, and because of the meaning behind the symbol, there have been several friends and family members who have expressed a desire to get Sunny’s Heart tattoos for themselves.
Including me.
I was listening to my iPod this afternoon on the way home from the store and “Detlef Schrempf” came on. I wanted to share it, but couldn’t find an mp3, so here are the Band of Horses mp3s that I had, and a video. I love all three.
…but, the fresh, wet spring snow and the gray skies this morning made me smile…as did the sound of rain coming through my open bedroom window last night as I went to sleep. That was actually quite lovely.

This is not a music blog. While it is my desire to share free and legal music here (music is a part of me), it is not my goal to critique this music.
If I have posted music, it is because I like it, and it moves me at the moment. It might match my mood, it could be on repeat, or mirror the sentiment of my post. It might be quite random, and just what I wish to share.
