From My Playlist

A friend asked me recently what my favorite song of all time was. Truth is, I just don’t know. I have many many songs that sing to my heart, or make me smile or move more than others. It truly depends on the day, the hour, my mood, current events, etc.

Quickly checking my iTunes library of songs, this is the single most played song in my collection:

“Music When the Lights Go Out” – The Libertines

However, that doesn’t account for playing music on my iPod, from different sources or especially life before iTunes. CD’s, cassette tapes, records and the radio! Or the fact that I don’t listen to music at the computer much anymore, it has been a few years. At any rate, this song is the second most played:

“What You Wish For” – Guster

Third:

Fourth:

Fifth:

“Mushaboom” – Feist

Sixth:

“Not For All the Love in the World” – The Thrills

Seventh:

“Maybe I’m Amazed (Paul McCartney and Wings Cover)” – Jem

Eighth:

“Beautiful” – Lee and LeBlanc

Ninth:

“Delicate” – Damien Rice

And lastly, the tenth most played song:

Fourth of July

Limbo. As I wait (and wait) for Starr to get ready to go with me to one of the local 4th of July festivities, I thought I would take a picture of the little bit of work I did yesterday on the panel and upload it.

Oh, and here are a couple songs…because…how long does it take to get dressed anyway??…*drums fingers on desk*

Normal

My first thought when starting this blog was that I am NOT your normal mom. I have been an always single mom of a now 18 year old college student, I listen to alternative music, I am spiritual and artistic, I like sex, I don’t carpool-never did. But what is NORMAL? Who personifies normal? We are all unique and I just want to express myself here, and maybe at the same time find the real me.

One of my hobbies is finding new, free, legal music on the net. With that in mind, I plan to include the occasional MP3 link in my posts. So, I will leave you with the following:
