A Friday Mix

A couple previously posted songs as well as a couple new ones.

mp3: “Easy” – Lex Land
This was my first introduction to Lex Land. I loved it/her then, still do. I still think she knows more about me than she should.

mp3: “Someone to Keep us Warm” – The Silent Years

mp3: “Hellhole Ratrace” – Girls
This song is way better than it’s name indicates. I have almost learned to look past song names and band names…almost…because you never know what’s behind the curtain. You might just love it!

mp3: “That’s All (Genesis cover)” – Clare and the Reasons
New to me this morning. It made me smile so I am sharing it right away.

mp3: “Slow Learners” – The Paperbacks
This song reminds me of the music we (Starr and I) were listening to several years ago when she was still in high school. I enjoyed sharing music with her, we don’t get to do that as much any more.

Previously Posted Mix

Since starting this blog, I have tried really hard not to repeat songs unless it makes sense in the context of the post. Recently I spent some time visiting my old posts and listening to the music that I’ve posted, I realized that I really love, and miss, some of those songs (which is why I posted them in the first place!). So I decided that I would like to revisit some previously posted songs from time to time.

Like today.

Avoid Those Jerks

I saw this sign yesterday while doing errands. I laughed and thought “Starr and I need to sign up!” Soon.

I don’t have the time or energy to do much research into the books, or classes, but here is the website that I found when I Googled “How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk”:

LIFECHANGERS

Of course, you could always take my path and never marry at all…yeah, I think my way is SO much better! Not. Better than a jerk? Probably. Better than having a loving partner? Nope.
