mp3: “Forgive Me” – Le Loup
Okay, this song doesn’t feel so personal, but I like it anyway. : )
Buy: Family

I was watching Castle last night while playing with the kitten and I heard not one, but two songs that I’ve posted here in the past. It’s always fun to say, “yeah! I know that one!” (..and even better:  “I’ve posted that on my blog”….I am so hip! *snort* …Or not…)

The opening song:

mp3: “Now We Can See” – The Thermals
Buy: Now We Can See

and sweetly, the closing song:

Ugh, I thought that I was so sure, I wrote down “everyday” but I didn’t save the recording to verify. I am (embarrassingly) 88% sure that this was the song*. I hate my brain some days!:

mp3: “Everyday” – Vetiver

*Edited to say that I checked the show on Hulu just now and I was right. I need to trust myself more!!

Sunday Ramblings

The winter storm is over and the sun is shining brightly this morning! It is beautiful. It rained more than it snowed and we ended up with just a few inches of snow that were mostly rained away by the end of the day yesterday.

Unfortunately this means that Starr’s snowman making contest is a no-go. Since registration fees for the kickball tournament were non-refundable, the sorority will be making a profit for their charity, but being repeatedly canceled isn’t what they wanted to happen!

After being under a winter storm watch for the past few days, we are loving the forecast!

Last night as I was putting together a list of supplies for green cleaning, I watched the first episode of the new series Life After People on the History Channel. Here is the trailer:

It’s interesting and a little unsettling. Funny thing…I kept hearing this song in my head throughout:

As long as I am posting The Thermals, here is a more recent offering from their latest album:
