And for fun:
The season premier of So You Think You Can Dance, Season 4, was last night. Starr has been really excited..I mean beside herself excited…about it. The girls have been big fans for several years. They love the dancing, they fall in love with the contestants. They cry over certain routines.
It is a bit bittersweet for me, as I recall Sunny and Skye spending lots of time over here watching the show. Laughing, screaming, disagreeing over which boy is the cutest, and who is the better dancer. Arguing with the judges. I loved being a part of their energy.
Here is Robert Muraine’s audition from last nights show:
And this is one of the girls favorite performances from season 2, one that brought at least one of them to tears, Heidi and Travis dancing a contemporary routine choreographed by Mia Michaels:
Read MoreAlan Williamson, of Sixeyes MP3 Blog, had this to say about “Dropped”, and I tend to agree:
“Dropped” is the kind of song that makes me want to jump up and down and yell and shout, maybe it even makes me feel young again (and it has made me jump up and down, just ask my neighbours), whatever it’s doing, and has done, it sure feels good and (added bonus) I don’t feel cheap and used afterwards.
Turn up the volume!!
And, this…despite the fact that Tube Men creep me out:
This clip came across my path a couple of weeks ago. This one of Starr’s favorite movies. She even dressed as Holly Golightly for Halloween several years ago. If I can find a picture, I will add it to this post.*
My photographs are so disorganized, both the printed ones and the digital ones. The idea of organizing seems so overwhelming. Once in a while I will get the urge to do something about it, but looking at the mess…I quickly get over it.
*Starr has informed me that I am not allowed to post her Holly Golightly costume pictures on the internet. Ever.

Deadliest Catch! I think that it was Dan Renzi, ex-MTV reality “star”, who turned me on to this show. Now I look forward to each season. I just watched the premier of season 4…and am all giddy inside. I had a rough day, so it was a nice change….first the Avalanche win game 5 in the playoff series against Minnesota…then catching up with “Deadliest Catch” on the DVR! My mood has been lightened….considerably.
I don’t follow hockey (or any sport) as a rule, but my Minnesotan brother is a fan…so I have turned my attention and my support to, ahem…the Colorado Avalanche. As has Starr. I am a good sister, right?
